Rolf Stuber

Rolf Stuber founded Smartflyer AG in 2016, bringing together a team of 10 aviation experts to develop the Smartflyer SF1, an innovative electric aircraft. As CEO and Head of Design, he leads the project with a strong focus on sustainable aviation solutions. With more than 40 years of experience in professional aviation, Rolf served as a captain on the Airbus A330 and A340 at Swiss International Airlines until 2022. His career began in 1986 with the Swiss Air Force, where he piloted Alouette 3 and Super Puma helicopters. Over the years, he has also worked as a flight instructor and business jet pilot. Holding a pilot's license since the age of 17, Rolf has accumulated over 23,000 flight hours across various aircraft types, from gliders and helicopters to long-haul airliners. His extensive expertise now drives the development of next-generation electric aviation.
